Pieces Of Masters - Vincent Van Gogh
Moving next into the post-impressionism period, Van Gogh uses bold colors and dramatic brushstrokes that set the stage for the foundations of modern art in the 20th century.
Van Gogh was greatly inspired by Japanese woodblock prints (ukiyo-e) and collected many throughout his lifetime. He was inspired by the intense colors, clean lines and bold designs. Many believe Van Gogh drew inspiration from the print The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai and we pay tribute to the shapes and patterns in our puzzle design.
Featured in this collection are two of Van Gogh's masterpieces - Starry Night and Cafe Terrace at Night.
Great art is everlasting, speaking to us from across centuries. It can give us a glimpse into the history of humanity and allow us to see the world through a different lens.
