Spinosaurus
Spinosaurus, also known as spine lizard or thorn lizard, was a theropod dinosaur that lived in northern Africa during the Cretaceous period, approximately 114 million to 93.5 million years ago. Spinosaurus is currently known as one of the largest terrestrial carnivorous dinosaurs and the longest carnivorous dinosaur, though it weighed less than Tyrannosaurus rex or other large theropods. Due to its quadrupedal locomotion, its hip height was lower than that of other similarly sized large theropod predators.
